Senior Support Worker

I have worked in the care sector for 9 years and joined Forrest House in December 2024. What I value most about working in the care sector is the opportunity to bring a sense of calm and reassurance to those I support. I take pride in being someone others can rely on, a steady, grounding presence during moments that can feel overwhelming or uncertain, including staff. I aim to create a space where people feel safe, respected, and truly cared for. Working at Forrest House feels like being part of a big supportive family, one that knows how to have fun whilst getting the job done. We are a tight-knit team that lifts each other up, shares the load, and brings a real sense of energy and fun to the workplace. That positive atmosphere doesn’t just make it a great place to work, it helps us create a cheerful, welcoming home for the people we care for.
Outside of work I am passionate about music and love to going to gigs whenever I can. I am also a big movie fan, especially sci-fi. I watch a lot of football when I get the opportunity. Staying active and keeping fit is important to me and I always make time to relax with a good book. These hobbies help me recharge and keep a healthy balance in life.
Although I have only been a Forrest House for eight months, I have genuinely been impressed by the people I work with. The team is made up of dedicated, skilled individuals who really care about what they do. It’s a supportive and positive environment, being part of it has made my time here both rewarding and enjoyable.
